Hello and Welcome. Sometimes life throws us some curve balls and presents us with what we perceive as obstacles to leading a happy, fulfilled and balanced life. We can all be exposed to life experiences, situations or people that can cause us hurt, pain and trauma. Do you fee “stuck“ in your relationships with our loved ones, friends and co-workers. The crucial question is: How do we become “unstuck” so we can lead happier, more fulfilling, meaningful and balanced lives?
What I want you to know :
I understand that it takes a lot of courage to consider seeking help in theses stressful life situations and I want to applaud you for taking the first step in your personal growth journey, and I would be honored to be part of your experience. I am here to help you move forward, I am very interested in understanding your specific situation and I will partner with you to help you reach your goals. I firmly believe that each person has innate strengths and wisdom, that might lie buried deep down somewhere, maybe even in the unconscious.
But you can learn how to tap into that wisdom in order to learn how to process, heal, and release some of the emotional burdens that weigh you down. You can learn new, more effective ways of thinking, feeling and being. Some of my personal strengths are: I can easily connect and relate to others, I am real and honest with you, I have a genuine desire to partner with you in your journey and help facilitate your growth and healing in a compassionate, empathetic and supportive manner.
What I need you to know:
I received a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University; I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License # MFC 51953) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. I have over 10 years experience working with families and individuals of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. I use an eclectic approach to therapy which includes, but is not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy as well as Narrative Therapy. I use mainly EMDR as well as Hypnotherapy for trauma and addiction work.
My counseling emphasis includes: anxiety/stress, depression, addictions and compulsive behaviors, mood disorders, adolescent issues, parenting issues, family conflict, relationship & marital issues, anger issues, domestic violence, conflict resolution, self-esteem, trauma, abuse, attachment issues, grief & loss, and women’s issues.
